Moussa joined Air Liquide France in 2016 as a Production Optimization Engineer for Air Liquide’s newly created ROCC (Remote Operation Control Center) in Lyon (France) after having started his career at Exxon. In his first role, he worked on the definition and creation of new tools for the ROCC. Moussa is an active member of the community of practice around the PI System within Air Liquide and an early adopter of PI AF within the Group. He led a working group in charge of the definition of Data Structure & Calculation standards.

Moussa is now working as an Operation Analyst for Houston Smart Innovative Operations (SIO) Center. He is managing the Enterprise Historian deployment for the Operations after the signing of an enterprise agreement between Air Liquide & Osisoft, enabling a worldwide usage of the PI System within Air Liquide.

Roberto Napione has been working at SKF since 1992. He is a mechanical engineer who studied mechanical engineering in Politecnico of Turin. Roberto’s career was initially in manufacturing operations as a quality, manager, manufacturing manager, unit manager, and factory director (800 people). Then he moved to manufacturing development, working on manufacturing development for business unit and group divisions at SKF Group global, where his responsibility was in technology upgrades, managing investments, and EHS. From 2016-20 he built the Machine Centre of Excellence, working with teams in Sweden, Italy, France, India and China.

Tasked to develop machines and IPs based on key strategic knowledge and connected to I4.0 and smart manufacturing, Roberto has helped produce proof of concept in new technology and installed the machines and the knowledge.

In 2020, he got the responsibility of manufacturing knowledge management for EU/Asia/Americas with the task to preserve the strategical knowledge in COVID-19 and post-COVID-19 situation and prepare for the new future needs.

Pavan is an Industry 4.0 expert who is often invited to speak on the topic at conferences and is a regular participant in panel discussions related to the digital revolutions impact on business. In addition to his role at Automation Alley, he’s also the founder of PCS Insight LLC, a company that teaches leaders of growing companies how to increase profits by intensifying happiness and reducing friction in the workplace, resulting in greater productivity and long-term success.

Leveraging his experience with workplace cultural change, Pavan created Automation Alley's Competitive Industry 4.0 Transformation (ACT4.0) program and Industry 4.0 Assessments to help growing, forward-thinking advanced manufacturing and technology companies transform their businesses by adopting cutting-edge technologies associated with Industry 4.0. Both initiatives aim to help business leaders transform their companies by fostering an organizational culture that embraces learning, change, and technology acceptance.

He has more than 20 years of experience working on open innovation and technology transfer, and internet business. He has been directly involved in hundreds of open innovation projects in a wide range of different industries and has worked with several international companies in the evaluation, development, and deployment of their open innovation programs. 

As part of the Catalan national program “Startup Catalonia,” he acted as a business coach for technology-based startups, helping them to develop and implement their strategy and accelerate business growth. He has been a managing partner at Science2Society.eu, one of the largest EU-funded projects in the field of technology transfer and open innovation aimed at developing new processes to enhance industry-academia collaboration. 

Jordi holds an MBA from Esade business school and a corporate finance degree from Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, and he has been involved in corporate venture and valuation projects. As an innovation conference speaker, he has shared his view on open innovation and collaborative R&D and innovation ecosystems in many international and cross-industries events in Berlin, London, Edinburgh, Boston, Paris, Singapore, and Barcelona.
