Jyri Nieminen sees himself as a football coach who is specialised in goalkeeping. He believes that US goalkeeper coaches need to be able to understand the game of football in detail and then, on top of that, all those countless characteristics of goalkeeping. It also means that coaches always have a lot to learn to be able to help goalkeepers and other coaches.
AS Monaco
Frederic De Boever is a goalkeeping coach at AS Monaco, also working as a head of goalkeeper department for AS Monaco Academy. Previously, he worked with KRC Genk, Singapore FA, Aspire Academy, and Club Brugge. Frederic has UEFA B and UEFA Goalkeeper II Licenses. Within AS Monaco, besides training sessions, he is currently engaged in scouting, loan follow-ups, data management, and pre- and post-game analysis.
Stefan Loch has worked as a first team goalkeeping coach for SK Sturm Graz since 2016. He obtained his UEFA A Goalkeeping License in 2017. His previous experiences include local head of goalkeeping development for Red Bull Ghana, goalkeeper coach for FC Red Bull Salzburg Academy, first team goalkeeper coach for FC Liefering, and goalkeeping coordinator for global Red Bull Soccer.
Veronika Kreitmayr is an experienced sports psychologist with over 10 years of working within the Red Bull Sports environment. Her experience lies within the development and implementation of various standardised sports psychological assessments, psychological intervention (including cognitive training, personality development, and psychological treatment with individual athletes and within team sports), as well as implementation concussion assessment and neuropsychological training after concussion.
Dimitris Kalogerakos is a goalkeeping specialist with proficiency in goalkeepers coaching working principally as a goalkeeping technical and performance advisor.
Combining experience as a professional goalkeeper with his extended studies in sports management and football coaching in USA, Spain, and Greece, Dimitris has led the Olympiacos Academy goalkeepers' development phase since 2018.
Currently, he delivers coaching educational programs supporting goalkeeper coaches, clubs, and federations around the world through Mentor Goalkeeping Network.
Volodymyr Tymenko is a PhD, associate professor at the faculty of physical education and sports. He has years of coaching experience with Ukrainian Premier League clubs (Obolon Kyiv, Chornomorets Odesa, Olimpik Donetsk, SC Dnipro-1) and the Ukrainian national U21 team.
Niels Nielen started playing soccer when he was 5 years old, reaching both the amateur and professional levels. After he retired at 34, he aimed for a career as a goalkeeper coach. He started at the amateur level and after one year he joined NEC Nijmegen (Dutch premier league) as an academy goalkeeper coach. After two years he joined Fortuna Sittard (Dutch premier league) on a full-time basis to become a goalkeeper coach for all academy goalkeepers and to assist the first team goalkeeper coach.
At that time, he got the opportunity to join a professional first team at German fourth professional league club Alemannia Aachen. For season 2021-22, he got to his current job joining Dutch premier league club FC Utrecht as a U-23 goalkeeper coach (playing Dutch championship) and to take care of the coordination of the academy goalkeeping.
During his career so far, he has tried to do some education every season. He has got his GK Coach C and B licenses (and working towards UEFA A GK Coach), Outfield coach UEFA C and B license but also education in psychology in high performance and a bachelor study in economics and marketing in sports.
Philip Naessens started working at FC Utrecht in 2014. Many years later, as head of rehabilitation, he is responsible to let science meet practice. Since day one he and the team are constantly pushing their rehabilitation and performance standards by (re-)writing and innovating FC Utrecht’s rehabilitation methodologies and strategies. They are always looking for opportunities that will help them live up to their mission: 1% growth day-to-day. Vonlanthen’s event is another great opportunity to add another piece to the holistic Elite Football RTP puzzle by sharing their vision on pushing their boundaries, and letting it get challenged by very well-respected colleagues from all over the world.
Ivan Kovčić works as a coach educator for the Croatian Football Federation. He is also an academy goalkeeping coach for GNK Dinamo Zagreb and lecturer at International Soccer Science and Performance Federation. Ivan has a degree in kinesiology from Zagreb University. He has also obtained a UEFA A Goalkeeping License and a Football Coach UEFA A License in 2021.
Paul Rogers serves as a head of goalkeeping for Major Soccer League club FC Cincinnati. His former engagements include head of goalkeeping for Houston Dynamo FC, US women’s national team goalkeeping coach, and Canadian women’s national team goalkeeping coach.
Kersten Kuhl started his career as a player and a goalkeeping coach at SV Meppen. After this he was able to experience a new culture and worked as a goalkeeping coach in New Zealand for half a year. His next step led him to Borussia Mönchengladbach. Mönchengladbach was the first full-time job in his career, which enabled him to gain experience as a goalkeeping coach with a range of age groups for the last five years. In summer 2022, he had the opportunity to become part of the U-17 team of Hertha BSC in Berlin.
Sascha Marth is a goalkeeping coach with experience as the head of goalkeeping in various teams across the Europe and Asia. His previous experiences include Admira Wacker, Red Bull Salzburg, Kairat Almaty, FC Groningen, and most recently Lokomotiv Moscow.
For more than 10 years, Pablo Moreno has had the privilege of working on what he is passionate about – goalkeeper training. He is lucky to have worked in various contexts, which has led him to various experiences that he has learned from.
Pablo started at Levante UD's women's team, where he had his first contact with professional football. After two years there, he had his first experience abroad, in Kuwait, in the first men's team of Qadsia SC. One year later, he returned home to work at Valencia CF, where he spent three years in various positions, as goalkeeping coach for the women's first team and the men's academy, and also as head of goalkeeping on the women’s side. Then, he got a great opportunity to work in professional men's football in Denmark, at FC Nordsjaelland, a club with a culture almost unique in the world. After some fantastic years there, he has returned to Valencia CF women's first team, at a time when women's football is in a phase of great expansion towards full professionalism.
Pascal Formann is a former goalkeeper who played for such clubs as Nottingham Forest, Arminia Bielefeld, and 1. FC Saarbrücken. After retiring from professional football, Pascal gained experience working as the head of goalkeeping for Charlton Athletic Academy. In 2013, he moved to VfL Wolfsburg to become an academy GK coach, and since 2017 he has been working there as a first-team GK coach. Pascal received his UEFA A-License in 2017 and UEFA A-License Goalkeeper in 2019.
